Operations Director, TDF Grand Depart 2027Matt Hodgson is the Operations Director for the Tour de France Grand
Depart 2027, leading the planning and delivery of the UK stages of both
the Tour de France and Tour de France Femmes.
A specialist in major sporting events, Matt has extensive experience
delivering complex road-based events and managing large-scale
operations involving transport networks, local authorities, emergency
services and government partners. Previous roles include positions with
UK Sport, Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, CSM Sport &
Entertainment and the Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Recognised for his expertise in event operations, transport planning and
stakeholder management, Matt has helped deliver world-class events
across the UK and internationally, creating lasting benefits for host cities
and communities.
