Sergio Escobar

BIM Regional Manager – Scotland and Ireland, WSP

Sergio is a Chartered Civil Engineer with 17 years of experience currently working for WSP in the role of BIM Regional Manager for Scotland and Ireland. He has gained extensive experience as BIM Manager and Highways Digital Lead working in several infrastructure projects in the UK and abroad.

Sergio is part of WSP’s Digital Delivery and BIM Group, and his role includes the development of BIM and digital engineering methodologies for the Highways industry.

In addition, throughout his career Sergio has gained a broad knowledge of various areas relating to highways design and engineering, including road geometric design, road restraint systems, traffic signs, road safety audits, departure from standards applications and production of technical reports. This knowledge, in conjunction with his model coordination experience on major projects, enabled Sergio to gain an in-depth understanding of cross discipline digital collaboration and design integration.
