Karen Russell

Head of Standards, Roads Directorate, Transport Scotland

Karen Russell is Head of Standards in Transport Scotland’s Roads Directorate and manages the development of Scotland specific technical guidance and ongoing development of the DMRB and MCHW.

Karen is a member of the Scottish Road Research Board, and manages the funding and delivery of the annual research programme. Her recent projects include the refresh of Cycling by Design, and overseeing research on bus stop bypasses, kerbing details and zebra crossings.
