Mark Baynham

Committee Member, Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE)

Mark Baynham is a respected business leader, chartered civil engineer and procurement professional with 30 years’ experience in the UK and global transportation and military sectors. He has a broad career in strategic leadership and technical roles in the design, construction, asset management and commercial management of major complex transport and military infrastructure projects and new technologies throughout their asset life cycle. His current projects include the A9 Dualling, A96 scheme development and various RAF airfield refurbishments.

Mark currently works for UK consultant Mott MacDonald and represents the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) in Scotland for Transportation. Mark has previously been a UK government civil servant in the defence sector and had several secondments with Transport Scotland.

He is a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE), the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS) and the Institute of Asphalt Technology (MIAT).

He is passionate about the future of infrastructure development, particularly the opportunities for digital transformation and improving procurement processes.
