Allan Howard
Group Technical Director (Lighting & Energy Solutions), WSPWith 40 years’ worth of experience in lighting, Allan provides a group-level role providing clients with technical advice and support to introduce innovation, develop lighting and operational systems & policies, looking to produce sustainable lighting installations as well as providing specialist training.
Through his involvement with various professional bodies, including the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP) and the International Commission of Illumination (CIE), Allan leads and contributes to research and investigations, developing International and National light and lighting Standards and good practice.
Allan is a Past President of the ILP, and in 2024, he was awarded the ILP’s Centenary Medal for outstanding achievement on behalf of the lighting profession.
