Ronan Lyng

Associate Director, WSP

Ronan is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow with 21 years’ experience and vast expertise gained through leading on projects in Ireland, Scotland and Dubai. Ronan has experience in project leadership and management, providing strategic direction and imparting expert advice in road safety and the development of infrastructure projects.

In Ireland Ronan was a road safety audit team member. He has undertaken several road safety schemes, including a road safety study of the A947 in Aberdeenshire. He also recently acted as expert witness in the A5WTC public inquiry, covering matters relating to road safety.

As Commission Manager on the DMRSS Framework for Transport Scotland, Ronan has applied his extensive knowledge and experience of road safety and active travel to providing technical leadership across the framework call-off projects and offering expert advice to TS. Ronan has recently been working alongside George Henry in delivering the National Speed Management Review for Transport Scotland.
