Ewan Wallace

Chief Officer, Aberdeenshire Council, and Chair, SCOTS

Ewan Wallace is a Chief Officer at Aberdeenshire Council. He is the Chair of SCOTS, a member of the UK Network Management Board, past President of the Aberdeen Association of Civil Engineers and a member of ICE and CIHT.

In his career within government since 1990 he has been fortunate enough to play a part in numerous projects and initiatives from works on the River Spey through to making the economic case for AWPR, securing a City Region Deal for Aberdeen City and Aberdeenshire, leading on collaborative working across Northern Roads Authorities and delivering a new station in Kintore.

In 2022 he took on the role of Head of Environment and Sustainability at the Council and has been applying his approach of science into action to this new role. In this new service he leads for the Council on Waste Management, Landscape Services, Transportation, Passenger Transport, Environmental Planning and Climate Change/Sustainability.
He is a proud North East Loon who is blessed with a lovely wife and two young daughters who have to treat every holiday like a site visit.
