PatchGuard™ Galvanic Anode
PatchGuard™ anodes extend the life and area of Patch repairs. PatchGuard™ galvanic anodes redress the electrochemical imbalance induced through removal of contaminated concrete in patch repairs, commonly known as the Incipient Anode Effect. PatchGuard™ anodes corrode preferentially to the surrounding steel – protecting it from further corrosion damage.

Influence of Galvanic Anodes
When installed into Patch repairs, Galvanic anodes are able to protect large areas and increase structural life by decades. We can use steel potentials to measure the effect of galvanic anodes when they are installed into steel reinforced concrete structures.
