  • Monitoring Brochure
Monitoring Monitoring involves the placement of sensors on or around buildings, infrastructure and construction sites in order to provide ongoing measurement of factors affecting their performance. The data provided by these sensors gives a real-time picture of the environment or the condition of a structure. This data acts as an early indicator of potential problems or as a means to disprove any perception of changes or movement, in order to avoid costly remedial work or litigation. Our multi-disciplined team of engineering experts have extensive knowledge of all aspects of monitoring. Structural Monitoring This involves closely monitoring the performance of structures and infrastructure such as buildings, bridges, tunnels and railways to ensure their continued safety and stability. This type of monitoring is also used extensively to manage construction and infrastructure developments to help to reduce risks and costs and to therefore deliver these projects on time and within budget. Environmental Monitoring This involves the measurement and analysis of environmental conditions. Often on and around construction sites, this includes using sensors to measure noise, dust, vibration and much more. These measurements ensure that projects stay within permitted limits imposed by Section 61 of the Control of Pollution Act 1974.
