Concrete Preservation Technologies (CPT) is a specialist provider of solutions for the assessment, protection and preservation of reinforced concrete structures.
We work across the infrastructure sector, helping clients manage reinforcement corrosion, extend structural service life and reduce the need for costly major repairs. PATCHGUARD™
PatchGuard™ anodes extend the life and area of Patch repairs. Our PatchGuard™ galvanic anodes redress the electrochemical imbalance induced through removal of contaminated concrete in patch repairs, commonly known as the Incipient Anode Effect. PatchGuard™ anodes corrode preferentially to the surrounding steel – protecting it from further corrosion damage.

PatchGuard™ Connect
PatchGuard™ Connect anodes are a purely galvanic cathodic protection system. The galvanic (or sacrificial) anodes act by corroding favourably to the steel, reacting to corrosion threats whilst supplying a protective current that counters the initiation of corrosion. Corrosion of the anode is non-expansive and does not negatively impact the structure. PatchGuard™ Connect technology is a long-term low maintenance solution.

DUOGUARD™
Our unique DuoGuard™ range of discrete anodes features DuoGuard™ is installed into concrete structures to stop reinforcing steel corrosion caused by chloride salts and carbonation. It can be used to protect contaminated but unspalled concrete saving the time and cost of replacing the concrete material. With a long system lifetime the DuoGuard™ anode provides a cost effective, maintenance free method of corrosion protection.

Installing PatchGuard Connect Anodes in Reinforced Concrete - How-To Guide
PatchGuard Connect is a discrete sacrificial anode applied to reinforced concrete structures which are corroding or at risk from corrosion as a result of chloride ingress or concrete carbonation.
PatchGuard Connect anodes provide a protective current to the reinforcing steel as a result of the sacrificial activity of the PatchGuard anode. Once installed, the PatchGuard Connect anode will corrode preferentially to the surrounding steel, offering protection against corrosion damage. Areas of sound concrete that are suffering from corrosion as a result of chloride contamination can be protected with a minimal amount of connections to the steel reinforcing – typically 2/3 per string of up to 50 anodes.
