With over 20 years of experience in the industry, the majority of which has been working for a consultancy, Michael finds himself in his fifth year of a secondment to Transport Scotland where he is part of the Special Projects team. One of his areas of responsibility is to oversee delivery of the Equality Act Barrier initiative. Working along-side the Operating Companies across Scotland, Michael has spent the last two years leading numerous teams to deliver a trunk road network that is accessible to all.

Outside of work he is known to enjoy spending some time with lots of Lego bricks, building anything from Irn Bru maps of Scotland to the iconic Forth Bridge.
