Daniele Constantini

Principal Engineer, WSP

Daniele Constantini is Principal Engineer in WSP’s Bridges Team in Belfast working on projects in both the UK and Ireland. Daniele’s engineering experience predominately involves the design of bridge structures, notably the A9-904 Footbridge in Falkirk, in which he played an integral role in the design and development of the structure from inception to detailed design utilising parametric modelling techniques. Daniele has recently commenced a Construction Engineering Masters at Queens College Cambridge.

My Speaker Sessions

Tuesday 29 November 2022

11:40

Automating design workflow and maximising design value through basic parametric tools

11:40 - 12:05

This real-life scenario will demonstrate the effectiveness of parametric design when used at the conceptual stage. The case study will show the production of a visual conceptual bridge model together with the analytical model, using the same base script to generate the respective geometries via Dynamo, Revit, Infraworks and Midas. The presentation will highlight the processes involved in developing a parametric model and how the model can be used to consider different design options quickly and efficiently allowing designs to be refined.
