Concrete Canvas Ltd

Stand C3
Concrete Canvas® (CC) is a flexible, concrete-filled geosynthetic, that hardens on hydration to form a thin, durable and waterproof concrete layer. Essentially, it’s Concrete on a Roll™. CC allows concrete construction without the need for plant or mixing equipment: just add water. CC is widely used in the civil engineering sector as a cost-effective alternative to conventional concrete for a wide range of road-side projects including channel and ditch lining for water management, erosion control and weed suppression, for new and existing road infrastructure projects. The speed and ease of installing CC means it is well suited to time-critical road-side work, reducing lane possession and improving safety. Eliminating issues associated with rebound from shotcrete, and the large plant and equipment required for traditional concreting methods means road works can continue without lane closures. CC is BBA certified with a durability in excess of 120 years when used in erosion control applications. CC offers a lower carbon, environmentally sensitive solution when compared to traditional concrete solutions. The speed of installation minimises traffic disruption, reduces the length of lane possession, and mitigates risks associated with roadside work. Concrete Canvas® has been specified on numerous projects for the Highways Agency, Environment Agency, Balfour Beatty and others.

Concrete Canvas Demo Park
Short video highlighting the newly opened Concrete Canvas Demo Park, located at Concrete Canvas Headquarters in South Wales, UK. The park features core applications of both Concrete Canvas and CCX products, demonstrating various methods of installation and techniques. The park is designed to provide both contractor training facilities, whilst also being a space for R&D: trialling new products, applications and techniques. If you're interested in visiting the park, please contact your regional Business Development Manager or drop a line to info@concretecanvas.com
CCUK: Concrete Canvas (CC) Channel Lining - 5 Mile Lane, South Wales, UK
In July 2018, Concrete Canvas (CC) was specified as an erosion control liner to a 600m crest drain running adjacent to an ongoing road construction project. The principle contractor, Alun Griffiths, installed over 2250sqm of CC8 material in less than 4 days. The Five Mile Lane Improvements Project aims to improve safety along an important A road in Barry, South Wales, UK. The scheme involves a combination of improvements including construction of a new road which required crest drainage to direct surface run-off from an adjacent field. CC was specified to prevent scouring and water ingress into the cutting, whilst offering significant cost and time savings compared to conventional concrete solutions.
