Senior Asset Engineer (Structures) Network Rail

In his current role, which he has held for seven years, Euan is responsible for the day-to-day management of over 5,500 structures assets in Scotland’s Railway’s West area.

He has been at the forefront of improvements made in managing the risk of scour and flooding at bridges on Scotland’s Railway for a number of years; taking a lead on managing extreme weather plans, introducing technology, and improving the use of weather forecasting to predict and respond to emerging weather events.

Euan is a Chartered Civil Engineer with 17 years’ experience in the inspection, assessment and asset management of rail structures. Euan has worked for Network Rail since 2004 having first joined the company as a Graduate Civil Engineer.
